GET MATCH FIT AT MCDIARMID PARK

Saints in the Community will be delivering the SPFL Trust Match Fit programme at McDiarmid Park on Wednesday 28th October, ahead of St. Johnstone’s fixture against Motherwell, offering adult supporters the opportunity to take a free health check before the match.
Match Fit is a free health and wellbeing programme delivered by trained community trust staff at football stadiums across Scotland. Developed in partnership with NHS Scotland, Diabetes Scotland and the British Heart Foundation Scotland, the programme aims to help supporters better understand their cardiovascular health and identify potential health risks early.
When: Wednesday 28 October 2026, 5pm – Kick Off
Where: McDiarmid Park, Muirton Suite Entrance
Who: All adult supporters
Cost: Free
The checks take just 10 - 15 minutes and include blood pressure, height, weight, BMI and waist measurements, alongside a diabetes risk questionnaire and discussions around lifestyle habits. Participants will receive a personal summary of their results, with signposting to relevant NHS and local services where appropriate.
The programme aims to make health checks more accessible, particularly for men and those who may be less likely to engage with traditional healthcare services.
All adult supporters are encouraged to come along, take advantage of the free checks and make their health a priority in the build-up to matchday.
