In partnership with Team United and delivered by our upskilled staff team, Autism FC is a programme which uses the power of football to break down barriers and allow neurodiversity to flourish, providing recreational and competitive football for children aged 10 to 16 years old with a diagnosis of autism or who are on the formal pathway to diagnosis.

Regular training takes place in Perth on a weekly basis and there are optional opportunities for players to represent Saints in the Community in competitive league and Scottish cup events.

Team United’s Autism Football Association is an initiative which promotes an environment where young people with Autism can play football and be part of a team, whilst adapting to the intense social and communicative demands they are likely to experience. Further to the football, social activities and outings are available for players to participate in too.

The Saints in the Community squad has gone from strength to strength in the first half of 2024. The squad was crowned Champions of the 2023/24 North Region Autism Football Championship, claiming promotion to the Premiership division. This was quickly followed by a maiden appearance in the National Premiership where the squad claimed yet another title… being crowned Champions of the National Autism Premiership and marking their second piece of silverware in as many months!!
