SAINTS

Saints Academy INclusion Through Sport

Our SAINTS Academy programme aims to break down the barriers to participating in sport. With a variety of sporting activities on offer, we work with a range of local organisations to create opportunities to those who may experience disadvantage.

With valuable support from Perth & Kinross Council, the programme supports adults across four strands:

  • Football and other activities for adults living with ill mental health including alcohol & substance misuse;
  • multi-sports for adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder;
  • football and other activities for local students with additional support needs; and
  • football and other activities for adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder.

As one of the first mental health and wellbeing football group’s in Scotland, Saints in the Community were dubbed “trailblazing” by the Scottish FA Disability Manager and the team now regularly compete in the SFA’s newly established Mental Health & Wellbeing League.

If you, or somebody you know, are interested in taking part, please get in touch with us at the office for further information.
