Goals For Growth
In partnership with Mindspace, Goals for Growth is a 10-week programme designed for young people aged 10 to 13 who are navigating grief, loss, or major life changes.
Each week combines football activities with guided therapeutic discussions. The football sessions build teamwork and relieve stress, while the group conversations draw on the Seasons for Growth model - an evidence-based programme that helps children and young people understand and adapt to experiences of change, loss, and transition. Together, these activities create a safe and supportive space to explore feelings and connect with peers.
Who the programme is for
This programme is especially suited to young people who have experienced:
-
Bereavement (loss of a loved one)
-
Divorce or parental separation
-
Illness in the family
-
Moving homes or schools
-
Other significant life transitions
Goals for Growth is about more than just football. It’s about building emotional resilience, managing stress in healthy ways, and forming meaningful connections with others facing similar challenges.
If you feel this programme could support your child, we’d love to hear from you.
