This Saturday’s game against Queen’s Park is our official ‘community matchday’ at McDiarmid Park!
The fixture on Saturday, March 28th at McDiarmid Park will shine the spotlight on the community trust – better known as Saints in the Community – as we continue our work supporting individuals and families across Perth and Kinross. Community Day has become a highlight in the calendar, bringing supporters together to celebrate that impact.
As well as raising awareness of the wide range of programmes we deliver, the day also plays a vital role in helping us raise funds to continue and grow our work within the community.
Following the success of last year’s event, supporters of all ages are once again invited to join us by getting involved in a packed programme of activities, kicking off from 11am.
We’re also looking forward to welcoming a fantastic crowd of our Saints in the Community guests into the North Stand to get right behind the team.
Here’s how the day is shaping up…
9am to 11:30am – Our ever-popular Soccer Saturday football coaching will take place on the all-weather pitch adjacent to the stadium. The perfect way to get excited for a big day at McDiarmid Park.
11am – A special auction will open, giving fans the chance to bid on a range of unique, signed, player-worn items with a fresh twist on previous years! It’s a fantastic opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind piece of St Johnstone memorabilia while supporting the wide range of projects we deliver across Perth and Kinross. The auction will run until Friday, April 17th.
11am to 12:30pm – A Family Fan Zone on the all-weather pitch for young and old to enjoy. Get involved on the inflatable football pitches, STEM activities, raffle stalls and much more!
11am to 1pm – There will be bucket collections in the car park for Saints in the Community. We’re hoping supporters can ‘Bring a Pound to the Ground’ to donate.
12pm – Turnstiles will open. Show your Saints colours at the fan brush paint stall. Keep an eye out for Brogan the Beagle visiting, and there may even be special visits from first team players!
12:15pm to 12:45pm – Players will wear special Saints in the Community warm-up tops.
1pm – Players will be escorted onto the pitch by members from a variety of Saints in the Community’s projects.
